Botox works to relax the two major muscle groups in the forehead. Most brow and furrow lines are formed by excessive contraction of these muscles. Botox will relax these muscles by blocking nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle causing muscle contractions, creating a smooth and improved appearance. Botox is used on the forehead, crowsfeet and glabellar (between the eyebrow) areas.
